Just finished the game, Bioshock is officially one of my favorite universes of all time thanks to Infinite.

This is an insult. (not your drawing. Your drawing is awesome) What IS an insult is that they call this thing Bioshock!! How can they call it Bioshock when its as much like the Bioshock games as "Angry birds" is like "Halo"!!!!! Their excuse is that it has the same "feel" of the past Bioshock games. The feel? It's the same feel where the setting is concerned, a world from a previous era into which amazing and terrifying technologies have been introduced and a social experiment has gone horribly wrong.

The sad thing is there is no reasoning with this individual, he doesn't see that the Bioshock title is related to the theme and not the gameplay. He is too caught up on the fact that it explores new concepts, Gods forbid someone should try something new. The game looks to be great and while I do worry about how well some mechanics will work(I worry greatly about falling to my death when trying to switch skyrails), we will get to explore this new world and enjoy it greatly while he continues to sulk.

What Im 'on about' is that when I heard that they're making another Bioshock game I almost wet my pants. But then I hear them saying its not in Rapture, but its in a flying city and you have to save a girl who looks like she is 15, yet her boobs are the size of seedless watermelons. And you have to fight jacked-up USA freaks and a giant robot pigeon! wtf!? Its complete bullshit!!! Why fuck up a awesome game like Bioshock??! I hope it bombs!! Because that what 2K deserves for destroying the name Bioshock!

That's not true. You obviously didn't pay attention very well in the original Bioshock. Jack is Andrew Ryans son and Andrew Ryan was trying to groom him to take over Rapture.
Infinite also threw in some twists that I wasn't quite expecting and was just as good of a game as the original was. You're just looking for reasons to not like the game and telling yourself it's not a "real" Bioshock game to make yourself feel above everyone else because you see something they don't... The truth is, this is a real Bioshock game, not made by 2K, but made by Ken Levine at Irrational, just like the original.
