Description
So fourth of the 5 comissions on deck is Wolverine with siblings X-23 and Daken. I figured that x-23 and Daken doing some claw posing with Daddy behind them would be a pretty cool family tree. Got one more to do, on a Disney blank cover too, so that will be interesting. Hope to have it done before next weekend.....Big Apple Comic Con, The Marvel Project:

Seems like you missed one of Daken's claws. He has a third claw from the palm-side of his wrist. I think his other two claws come more from the wrist than the hand, too, but I'm not sure about that. He has 3 claws on each hand for sure though.

.....wow, thats all you have to say? lol I must really suck on these pieces, no one is really saying anything.....
Daken doesn't HAVE to have all three claws popped, he usually fights without it and it's kinda his ace in the hole..... Sometimes his hair is drawn longer too, but i choose to keep it a bit short.

Oh, Hokay then.
I don't know what else to tell you, really. I think the side of WOlverine's face is a bit too straight. Is that better? Wolverine's face seems to be at an angle, too, yet his eyes are about the same distance from the nose line. I am also not thrilled with Daken. His pose and position seem too ambiguous, it's hard to tell where he is and what he's doing. And he's a superhero or supervillain or something, where are his bulging muscles? Even J. Jonah Jameson had bulging muscles!
I don't know what else to tell you. For the most part, you're too good for me to be able to tell exactly what looks off. If I were you, I'd start working on more finished pieces.

I see what you're saying about the eyes. I am going through a period where i am really trying to change how i draw them. I have a long way to go with making faces look more attractive, and have recently been re-evaluating how I draw them.
With Daken, he's rushing to fight/defend against Wolverine with Laura, the portrait is suppose to be what they see approaching them. I drew him without the buldging muscles and the costume because having two Wolverine's wouldn't make much sense unless you got to see the tattoo. The Client asked for her to be wearing the top from the Mini-series, so since she was in her civvies, I put Daken in civvies too. The shirt he is wearing is the same shirt he's wearing in the issue where he infiltrates the Baxter Building and fights Ben Grimm.
You have a good enough eye to be able to spot what is natural and unnatural, so regardless of whatever the skill level of an artist, they always can improve somehow. I do appreciate the comments and the crit, i am just a bit frustrated because of the drop in response to my work of late (especially since I started my new job) so i apologize for that..... I guess I am kind of getting hit by reality a lil bit.....

I don't think I mentioned anything about him wearing a costume. When I've seen drawings of him, he's usually wearing a tight A-shirt (wife-beater). Or actually, after doing a google image search for him just now, he seems to be shirtless a lot. By the way, I should mention that while I know who Daken is, I know NOTHING about him, besides that he is Wolverine's son. I think you could even have made the image clear even if Daken WERE wearing his Wolverine costume. 1) Draw it without the mask. 2) Draw all 3 claws. 3) Show his left arm, with the tattoo.
What mini-series was X-23 in? O.o

I think you're right about the tat thing, i was trying to work that into the composition..... just didn't work it out like i had hoped to. X-23 has a mini that came out with mike choi drawing with sonia oback coloring. I don't know if they collected it but the issues are cool, i think it came out about 4 years ago maybe?

Ohhhhh. I assumed it was animated. I'm not big on comics, and it seems that with all of these massive, interconnected storylines, it's useless to try to get into it now.

it is expensive to actually stay abreast of everything Marvel is doing right now, but it's my drug of choice.....
