Okay, I know this one's a little random, but "secretly" I've been stalking the TF2 fandom like no tomorrow and I've decided that I really want to do an AU where Snape and the Medic are brothers. Because these two fandoms don't have enough craziness.

It began in Germany in the late 1950's, just before the Berlin Wall was built, and just before Severus was born (the Medic, whom I will call Fritz, which is the closest thing to a cannon name, was already six years old). Eileen Prince married Warren Gruenewald in the 1940's and they had a happy marriage. Snape was born on January 9th, 1960 and they lived happily up until August 1961 when the construction of the Berlin Wall began. Eileen was a citizen of the West Side with Severus and Warren on the East with Fritz. Despite many attempts, they weren't able to get back to each other, and the Wall went up completely, sealing the border for good and separating them permanently. Eileen, heartbroken, went back home to her family for consolation, and ended up staying there with Severus. Unbeknownst to Eileen however, her family was incredibly cruel to Severus when she wasn't there, due to his being a half-blood. Severus ended up going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and making a friend in Lily Evans and Lucius Malfoy, and an enemy of the Marauders: James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pedigrew. In his fifth year, he had a falling out with Lily and as a result his only friends laid in the dark side of Slytherin. After his graduation, he joined the Death Eaters, and much to his dismay, found it was nothing at all like he imagined. He defected after he heard Lily, her husband James Potter, and her child Harry were in danger, and became a spy. Unfortunately it was too late, and Lily and James were killed, leaving Harry the Boy-Who-Lived. During this terrible time for him, Severus was re-united with Fritz, and reluctantly accepted the intrusion into his life.

Back in East Germany, Warren found himself living in poverty, and was quickly becoming unable to sustain himself and Fritz. The man did his best to block Fritz from the oppressive government and propaganda that was everywhere, and succeeded for the most part. A year after the Wall's construction, they escaped through a tunnel that a group of men from the West side had dug, and left with them and their family. Little did either of them know that they would've died if it hadn't been for Fritz's accidental magic, which disguised them both from the border guards.
Despite months of searching, they were unable to find Eileen and Severus. Warren and Fritz ended up settling in West Germany in the town of Stuttgart. There, Fritz took an (unhealthy) interest in medicine, eventually going to medical school and gaining a licence at record speed and subsequently losing said licence (due his experiment involving the skeleton of a patient). His criminal life only furthered when he stole the catering van during the prime minister's wedding and acquired his new best friend Archimedes, one of the doves planned to be released. Later he was met with a job offer by RED Co. to work as a medic; in return he would gain amnesty from his crimes and regain his medical licence. He accepted. Later on, in 1983 he was re-united with Severus and quickly inserted himself into his life.
