Back at Smurf village, Smurfette is in bed still out cold Papa Smurf tended to the burns on her and Brainy. Once he was finished with Smurfette Papa talks with Briany, While he's glad that they're safe he's not happy with the fact that Brainy used a spell he was forbidden to use. Papa grounded Brainy and sent him to his a house until further notice.

Let's not forget Brainy does have a history of misusing Papa smurf's spell, overdoing and not listening. So Papa's reaction is understanable, Brainy ues a spell that was too advance for him and it nearly killed him and Smurfette.
