Hmmmm the daggers in Gargamels eyes are skewering Papa like shish kabobs.Β He's blushing but it's not like, awww, its like eugh get off of me you sappy, creepy, red pant wearing leader of this commune.Β I will never conform!Β

Honestly he is supposed to be a bit disgusted by the thought. My idea for this was pretty much this story where the Smurfs realize Gargamel is in a predicament where he needs help and has him around the village as they try gathering the ingredients he needs. And along the way Gargamel has been showing he's not 100 percent a terrible douche canoe. And Papa Smurf is really trying to encourage this.

Yeah the body language (pose) conveys that quite well, his expression drives it home.Β It's an interesting idea, I know there was as comic by Peyo about Gargamel turning himself into a Smurf called, "The Fake Smurf" the only thing that distinguishes him from the others is he doesn't have a tail so he has to improvise.Β I believe you can read the comic online through Papercutz its a small story in the "Smurfs and the Egg" volume #5, as it was published as part of the Smurf Anthologies they released several years ago.

Yes, he turned into a baby smurf once. So it's very much possible.

He also turned into an adult smurf in the comic (Which they used Hagatha for in the series for some reason, but the Fake Smurf was original Gargamel).Β
