It happens sometimes. Have a couple of drinks, sing some songs-- insult a friend after insisting they have the voice of a banshee... WELL, things just escalate fast.

The inside joke was that the fight was because the Thom(p)sons and Haddock ended up getting drunk and were singing a song together. And then it lead to the Thom(p)sons casually implying that they didn't like the Captain's singing voice-- and things escalated from there. But I felt the punchline didn't actually need all that info for it to be funny still.

Just a couple of guys being dudes, settling their arguments with their fists. But joking aside, haha, I did get great pleasure out of the imagery. Something great about the youngest character being the most mature and just walking in on some of the strangest situations.
