This sketchdump is the result of my friend Lieju recently getting me into Gaston Lagaffe (a comic from Belgium that has never been published in English, and no one has heard of here). These are a collection of random sketches I did, mainly trying to get used to drawing Prunelle and Gaston.

I'm going to say that Gaston got the idea to put the office upside down after watching an episode of the Avengers (not those Avengers, the British TV series from the sixties) where a guy dresses as a superhero and commits murders by stealing some magnetic boots to climb up walls. And there is a bit where a guy just has his office put upside down to test the boots out.

For some reason I was thinking Gaston would be fairly good at videogames. I guess up until the point he decides to go off and make his own virtual reality simulation device, and then all chaos erupts in the office...
Maybe they were playing the game so they could do a review of it for the magazine. I just couldn't help but think that Prunelle wouldn't really have the patience for them.

I also had a go at drawing other charatcers Spirou, Fantasio and Spip. Just because I felt like drawing them. Their adventures are now starting to be published in English and I'm looking forward to seeing more of their releases.
