Lilac went out of her den into the warm summer air. The blue birds which had been scarce over the previous months now flourished. Seeing one in a tree, she began to stalk after it, working as hard as she could to climb the tree without making a noise. Her kittens where hungry and so was she, she could not afford to miss this opportunity.
Meanwhile back at her den, Shaka began to open her eyes. The confused kitten began to take in her surroundings that she had only felt until now. The soft soil of the burrow was contrasted by the green plants that drapped over the entrance. Shaka had already shown signs of more advanced developement muscle wise, but now she was truly taking the lead out of all of her siblings.
