As explained below, i did not intentionally use his picture as a reference for my work. It is very possible that i had seen it in the past, and it stuck in my brain. Yes, my picture is exactly the same subject matter and concept as his, but perhaps that is just because we think alike. My original drawing had the hands mirrored in the same direction (upwards), but i didn't like the space between. When i reversed them it created a much more pleasing composition. I did not intend to copy his work, nor did i want to offend anyone by not crediting his work. I have now added it to the description.

Yes indeed, but here's how it started. I had the idea in my head and started sketching it. I then went to look up some images on the internet and found his picture. They are indeed very similar, but he only did it first because he was born earlier. It is possible i had seen it long ago and that's why it was in my mind. I'm guessing he would be okay with my version. I have added the reference to the description.
