Lol, probably noone will get where I got the title from XDAnyway...
Finished March 2006. THIS is what I've been working on for the past 2 weeks, what I consider to be my first real pic of this year lol. I would have been able to finish this sooner if it weren't for all the distractions at home now. Anyhoo, this pic is of a character from an anime series called "Burst Angel", the character if you have no idea who she is, is named "Jo". I've been wanting to see this series for months and only just recently have I been able to get my hands on the first few volumes of the series. So far I love it! Feels good to finally watch anime that isn't being broadcasted once a week lol. Another thing I really like is the fact that this series introduced me to another artist I now admire - Hakua Ugetsu (I think I spelled it right
). I simply love his drawing style and coloring, makes me want to work even harder when I see his work lol. Well getting back to the picture. In this I tried to do my cel shading style, but I also added a hint of soft in there (I think I've finally found a coloring style I like and CAN actually do lol). Also, the background is completely cged, took me a LONG time to get a look I liked, but eh. There are a few small things I see now that I could have added or changed, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have here and can't wait to get my hands into more pics. Well, hope you guys like this one, hopefully a lot more to come this year from me

Anyways, onto the fanart:
Your style is really cool Mebi, all the way from the lineart to the coloring style. I really like the thick lines you always use, they're so expressive... and I also like the fact your girls always look so sexy and kick ass. lol Not to mention the dynamic pose and stuff.
And I'm really diggin' this new coloring style of yours! It's a healthy mix between cell shading and gradients/softer tones... (so you improved your colouring style afterall huh? XD) gotta love it.

Getting out the first and the last drawings of the year are always important to me. It's really neat to compare the beginning drawings with the end of the year drawings.

Y'know, now that you mention it, it kinda does actually >.<
But yeah lol, you should check this series out some time if you get the chance. Forewarning it does give off some fanservice for the guys, but otherwise it's a pretty good anime with a good mix of gunplay, mecha, and mutant monsters lol.
