Both are awesome, though. In fact, if you weren't aware, Hideaki Anno, the creator of Evangelion, actually directed the 2016 film Shin Godzilla.
It won Picture of the Year at the Japanese version of the Academy Awards (essentially, Best Picture); it was the first Godzilla movie to ever do so.
Also, Shiro Sagisu, who composed the music for Evangelion, also composed the music for Shin Godzilla. He even put several variations of the "Decisive Battle" track from Evangelion into Shin Godzilla!
And Toho even made a mock artwork showing Unit-01 fighting Godzilla for a fake Godzilla vs. Evangelion film as an April Fool's Day joke.
