so lately i have really been struggling with my paintings...it seems the only things i can crank out are these little fb graffiti paintings :/
after i saw the fantastic four silver surfer movie when it came out i couldnt stop thinking about what a cool bad guy galactus was.
now i know that a lot of hardcore fans didnt like the fact that your galactus was portrayed as a cloud but i personally feel that it was the coolest badguy ever. i mean he was just a giant cloud of awesome that was slowly moving toward earth to devouer it and not even the fantastic four would have been able to stop him...how cool is that?! i have always been inspired by unbelievably large things like monsters from shadow of the colosus and super big trees (ha) and such but i have never painted anything untill now. i used a reference photo from the movie to do this and im not too satisfied with the way it looks it doesnt seem as big as it needs to be, ya know?

Now that the Fantastic Four is owned by Marvel once again (via Disney), Kevin Feige will finally be able to one day get Galactus right, more so than Fox, Tim Story, or Tom Rothman ever could.

the reason why he made him a cloud was because he wanted to to keep Galactus mysterious so they could use him for a 3rd film but since everyone hated the films so much it never got made

That's not bad at all. It took me a while to wrap my mind around the fact that he was portrayed a giant cloud in the movie. But it was stated that he was a nigh unstoppable force of nature and what better way to present that than in the form of planet size cosmic storm cloud.
