-- This Comic Is Dedicated TO My Displeasure Of The Turn Sam Raimi Is Taking In The Third Spider-Man Movie.-- Now It Appears As Of The sandman Had Killed Uncle Ben, Instead Of The Original Nameless Thug From The First Movie And The Original Comics.
-- Im Really Hoping That This Is Just A Teaser Point Like "I Didnt Do It, They're Setting Me Up" Thing, And It Turns Out Sandman DIDNT Kill Uncle Ben...Because Well...Sandman Sucks...Ide Rather Be Killed By A Regular Street Thug than A Huge Walking Sandcastle.
-- Im Not Against Sandman In The Movie Though, I Like Thomas Hayden Church...And This Isnt Just A Case Of "A Comic Nerd Who Cant Cope With Little Changed Made In Huge Comic Book Movies". I Loved Almost All The Changes Made In The Comic Movies (- WITH The Exception Of The Bat-Nipples, And Gambit Not Being In All 3 X-Men Movies-).
-- Im Still Going to See Spider-Man 3, And Im Sure Ill Love It, But I Hope They Dont Mess With That.

Sandman was an average villain and yet a pretty successful hero when he joined the Avengers.
I like the character, him and Ben Grimm had great chemistry when they appeared together.

Seriously, Sandman is kind of an amauter villian. Sure he's hard to hit...but he was beaten by a vaccum cleaner! Fortunately, Venom will be in the movie (though he'll probably croak like every other Spider-man villian so far) and who doesn't love that brain eating nutcase?

I can see how Peter being taken over by the symbiote would throw his emotions all out of whack, and maybe somebody leading him to the Sandman (perhaps Harry?)

your comments are valid... and with all the different villians / storylines expected for spiderman3 i hope this one doesn't take up too much time (because as you say, sandman does suck). However, in defence of the decision, the Sandman was always a dumb thug before whatever happened to him, and i might make for good drama/closure
