For someone that doesn't play the games you do capture the characters expressions and appearance very well.
Maybe it's your drawing style or use of more vibrant colors or simply focusing on a more cartoony Vibe when it comes to visual art style?
I have no artistic ability so I can't really be the judge or be the one to claim that those are just some random guesses. But to put it lightly let's just say I've come across people that are huge fans of the series and have drawn Isabel many times over and their personal take or Style on the character just doesn't really look right. Either it's way too anime cutesy or it's more realistic and straightforward either way I have come across numerous people that have drawn the character several times and have all played the series yet they don't capture the character pretty much at all.
Ironically here you come along and nail the character 100% on the first picture I've ever seen you draw of Isabelle and it looks absolutely flawless and keeps the image of the character very vibrant and accurate. The only difference is that you made her more pudgy then she is, yet it fits her! ^o^
If I'm able to find employment within the next couple of months and if I finally find out how to work these online payment type things... I have no idea what I'm doing and the first time I tried I ended up getting robbed of about $100 >~<)
Then I will definitely consider signing up for a commission or two. Because seeing some Animal Crossing type scenery would be amazing in your visual Style.
