Description
The one and only Nick Cavethis drawing was a bitch to me, and it still is, I've tried to fix it about 5 times now and because it's just not getting where I want it to get fast enough, I've given up. *sigh, it's good enough I suppose.
I've drawn this picture for my art teacher, and I'm giving it to her as a present tomorrow along with Nick Cave's Rarities & B-sides album as she loves him!

well when I want to do another try on something, I usually choose a different image.It's more interesting and usually works better

Hehehe, glad you like! He's actually meant to have a cigarette in his hands, but I never got around to drawing it. It's the only drawing (so far) I've given to someone (my art teacher) as a present before. Which is actually a shame because I've always been told to do drawings for people as presents. Hehe ah well!

Doesn't he always have a cigarette?! I saw him live once... I swear he didn't stop smoking the whole time. Amazing show though. I've told a friend of mine I'll paint her something in exchange for a pair of shoes. She's an artist herself, so this makes me nervous.

mmmm I don't like cigarettes, that's part of the reason why I didn't draw it hehe. Ahh I wanted to see him live this year, but the show sold out before I could get tickets! So I saw Interpol instead!
And I like this shoe exchange idea. I could get lots of new clothing like that! You're a genius! And I'm tired!

i guess the frustration you have experienced in drawing nick echoes the dark, sometimes fruitless endeavours of the characters in his lyrics.
it's a good rendition in the end - i immediately recognised it as the one and only cave.
overall, it works for me. could actually be a cover to one of his albums, so well done.
i'me also an extreme nick cave fan, so just felt like i had to comment.
