Here's a surprise pic for my friend =Fooray . very talented dude, def check out his gallery if you haven't allready!!!The dude in the pic is called Caster and is a char for 1 of his stories
I really liked the lineart so I decide to finally color it (Foo submitted this quite a while ago). What I liked so much about it was how Foo created a mood (he's pretty good at that) so it was challenging for me to try not to ruin the mood. So I started experimenting with some purplish colortones and I also experimented with "lightintensity". A term which suddenly popped in my head, don't ask me why
So I went crazy with it. I think it kinda looks cool.And now I've probably bored all of you to death so you won't be able to leave me your thoughts (which I greatly appreciate).

I was thinking if it was necessary to make the eye cavities THAT purple... But it's also true that you used very strong shadows in all the pic, so I guess it's alright...

I really like the lightsource and angle and the bright contrast between your shadows and highlights. How do you get those nice smooth transitions ( overgangen ) between them?

The color tones definitely work. The purple hues really keep the overall feel of a heavy mood. I think you nailed it. I'm also working on trying to keep the mood on the project I'm working on. It's not really a "tights" type of comic but a short story in graphic novel form. It's nice to see other colorists/artists work, it helps with ideas and styles.
