I've seen Multiple headcanons involving inklings and Mario.

Some of them look up to Mario and some of them hate Mario simply because of F.L.U.D.D.

I just prefer the former headcanon.

Well. It’s kinda up to the player to decide how Mii’s behave. Considering they’re just avatars.

Pichu and Villager are there because Mario games (and most nintendo games) is usually aimed at kids.
(Tho it’s kinda debatable whether or not villager counts as a kid.)

Isabelle is there mostly because of a headcanon one of my friends have.

And K.Rool is in that section because of the Original Donkey Kong (And yes,i’m aware that Jumpman and Mario may or may not be the same person.)
