With this kind of skill you could easily get a job at an indie games studio. I'm sure there are loads looking for this kind of stuff, you could even freelance. Of course, for all I know you are already.. xD

TheodenN In reply to PeekyChew [2015-04-27 07:43:46 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the kind comment!
Actually I worked for two different indie developers a few years ago. I worked on the graphics for one, and I made the original soundtrack and sound effects for the other.
My real life job is programming though. And I am also working on some personal indie game projects in my free time. I hope to release at least two of them as a finished and polished game but sometimes I can't find the energy nor the time to work on them since I am doing all the design, coding and art all by myself. And sometimes I am just lazy I guess But I really want to finish them and I will eventually

PeekyChew In reply to TheodenN [2015-04-28 21:52:09 +0000 UTC]

No problem!
Oh wow, that's quite a wide portfolio of skills. It must have taken a lot of time to be able to do the art, programming and soundtracks. Most people just focus on one area.Β

But I know what you mean with not being able to find the time to work on things. I worked on a PokΓ©mon fan game myself for a few years and even though I really enjoyed doing it it just wasn't possible to finish on my own. Although at the same time it's definetely worth it even if you don't finish, you learn from it.Β

TheodenN In reply to PeekyChew [2015-04-29 07:39:47 +0000 UTC]

Yes, definitely. Every project offers new things to learn. I would advice starting small. Rather than trying to make a full scale game I would try making prototypes and small scale projects. For instance a Pokemon game with only a few maps, a few characters and a few battles would be more doable rather than a complete Pokemon-like game. If you really like doing it never give up

Loved the sun and the trees on the cliff, this would be a really cool point & click adventure game cut-scene. Same quality as in the "Larry" series. (Just kidding. Obviously, it's better than any old Larry game.) Great work again, improve your art and maybe someday instead of the pixel sunsets.. we might be able to see the "Steel Sky" (;

/Sorun değil. Dil benim için ânemli gelmiyor, âzellikle İngilizcenin çok daha fazla kullanıldığı bir yerde.

TheodenN In reply to Ruepluvia [2011-11-13 11:50:13 +0000 UTC]

Steel Sky is really an amazing game and it would take a LONG time for me to get even close to the visual quality of that game
I am also a C programmer and I hope to make my own game in the near future. Actually I have made 3 simple games so far.
Thanks for the support I really appreciate it.

Yeah, and maybe the light on the guy. (might be gray, did not check.)

I think you were trying to go for contrast, but I don't think the piece needs it.
