It's finally time! The long-awaited Butterfly Family Tree for this AU/Rewrite of the original series! First of all a massive thank you to PigeonfromRussia for doing this I know it wasn't easy and I'm so thankful for all their help! There are a few things I'll need to explain hench the numbers so I'll do my best to avoid any confusion!

1. Edith Brooke Smyth and William Richard Bristol are the mother and father of Moe (Moerina) in this series and will be getting their own biographies sometime in the future once all the main Queens/Kings are done! Since George died in infancy he won't be getting a biography but still gets a mention on the tree.

2. Cressida Maxith is the daughter of Moe and King Eustace IV of England who was King in real life around the time Moerina drifted along the shores of Mewni, however, the child sadly passed not long after. I'd imagine the reason Eustace isn't on the family tree in this image would be down to say the current royal family not wanting any ties to Mewni or other powerful individuals wanting to keep the truth hidden for their own reasons.

3. Plumeria and Horith never official married since he was a forest spirit/fairy king of sorts and thus the two ruled separate worlds. However, I do have plans to expand upon my interpretation of 'The Fairy Kingdom' based on popular Irish depictions of fairies in Irish Mythology and even in History since the belief of fairies is still in the Irish Culture today, for example, we don't pave over 'fairy circles' in Ireland since they're the gateway to the realm of fairies.

4. Philippe Sauvage is believed to be Francisca's husband, he is marked with a question mark as there is no birth or death record of any man with that name meaning that in this AU that was a false name that the man used and Francisca never knew the real name of her husband who fathered her biological son William.

5. Felecia was crowned Queen because she was the only surviving child of Hygienia and Varik and the first infant to be created through the use of Hygienia's ''Pregnancy Pod' device which helped combat fertility problems and allowed same-sex couples to have children.

6. Anemias became the first King of Butterfly Kingdom due to his siblings and all members of his immediate family being murdered by an attack on Butterfly Castle, which saw his mother Queen Alectrona sacrifice herself by shining as bright as the sun during an eclipse to give her people a chance to fight back.

7. Charles Pear was the only spouse to outlive Verona and was neither divorced nor beheaded but instead, their marriage ended when he outlived her, the whole, "Till death do us part".

8. Duvessa Althea, Aeolia Desdemona and Melera Astralynn Butterfly are the other daughters of Pandora Butterfly who were born centuries after Scelene and as such never met their older sister, instead, being taught to despise her for turning on her own mother and have a big role in the fall of the Butterfly Dynasty.

9. William Berson is one of the OC that was entered into one of my competitions a while back from weresoul he is a trans man who had a brief relationship with Apollo before transitioning. The decision to have him be a dimension traveller was because I felt like making people being able to transition between genders through the use of magic wasn't right and might come across as ignorant or belittling and as such the first Trans King in this AU came after Star when Butterfly Kingdom would have had the understanding for such a transition to be possible, before that there were other dimensions where such a transition was possible, hence the change to William's character.

10. Lagona Lazuli is one of the few characters in this AU who uses They/Them pronouns and as such are represented in purple, there will be other characters of importance that use They/Them pronouns in this AU, one especially close to Glossaryck but that's all I'll say on the matter.

11. Rogelio De La Cruz was a homunculus created by Queen Galatea Butterfly as she desired to create a man that could rival her late father in 'perfection'. Rogelio being homunculus didn't live as long as a normal human/mewman however, Galatea made sure he wasn't completely ignorant and as such taught him a lot of the outside world, bringing him many books and out on various trips in the royal carriage.

12. Juan De La Cruz and Galatea are the parents of Rafaela De La Cruz as Galatea wanted to show her thanks for Juan giving his DNA to help create Rogelio who was sort of like his twin. This was due to the fact that he lost his wife and daughter during childbirth and longed to have a child of his own, so Galatea granted his heart's truest wish. Let's just say Rafaela will be mentioned more than once in this AU/Rewrite and will play a big role in the series.

13. Quintis Butterfly was Queen Katerina's biological father whose wife passed away in childbirth and as such he raised his daughter for a couple of years but ultimately passed away of cancer as it had spread to his bones and was untreatable. He was a descendant of Laerieta's adoptive son Tristan Butterfly. After his passing Queen Lillian would take in Katerina and declare her as her own in private, adopting her into the ruling royal family.

14. Wyrnn Drummerbottom was Rosetta's husband but as the pair never official divorced they remain married in official documents, however, Wrynn would lose his Butterfly surname and instead chose to use his birth surname of Drummerbottom instead after leaving his wife and old life behind.

15. Since Lethe erased herself from Mewman history to protect those she loved she essential shouldn't exist on this family tree so more so for your own benefit I've included her on the tree but hinted at her fate by having her be crossed out.

16. Jushtin and Sazmo official married after both of their wives had passed away, both finding comfort in the memories of their friendship during their teenage years. Also, Sazmo was a usurper to the Musty Mountain throne and is not descended from Favian (Salacia's husband) in any way, shape or form.

17. Henrietta Crust was Festivia's mother who worked as a castle servant in this AU/Rewrite, she was originally from Pie Island so Festivia is still technically a 'Pie Folk' however, Shasitican instead put her in a position in which she was unable to deny becoming his mistress, even though she would state time and time again that she wanted nothing to do with him.

18. Juggad and Festiva weren't biologically related in any way since Jushtin adopted Callahan, Juggad's father and Festivia was fathered by Shastician and Henretta, despite that, since everyone believed that Festivia was Shastican and Eclipsa's daughter an official statement had to be issued to confirm that Festiva and Juggad weren't related as the ignorant mewmans believed they were related, which resulted in Jushtin having to publicly state that Callahan was his adoptive son and Juggad his adoptive Grandson.

19. In this AU/Rewrite Rhina was the biological daughter of Queen Crescenta and Emily and as such was the first 'monster' princess/Queen to inherit the wand. (Hygienia was technically half-monster since she was half-fairy but she never displayed any of her fae heritage and her pointed ears were easily hidden by her long auburn hair).

20. Damon is the first Trans King, his deadname was Danica and did a lot to show representation in regards to Trans individuals in the Kingdom as he was the first Trans royal in all of Mewni. Thanks to him acting as a model example, he helped to normalise the Mewman and other populations of Mewni to accept Trans people, eventually being Trans was just seen as something that happened in ordinary life like other members of the LGBTQI+ community in Butterfly Kingdom and Mewni as a whole.

21. Aengus was Astera's first husband and her true love. After his untimely death, it would be Heckapoo who convinced the Queen to remarry, this time to Tenek who was emotionally and physically abusive towards her, ultimately leading to her refusing to eat or drink anything and then passing away, as a result, finally escaping his abuse.

22. Who Lanuola married was never known as she abdicated the throne to rule a small nation of people she'd saved from drowning on a small backwards planet she'd visited when she'd been lost in Space and Time for quite some time.

23. Astrophel was the first Pansexual Polyamorous King to rule Butterfly Kingdom, inheriting the wand after his half-sister Lanuola abdicated the throne. He married Roman Mosar and Jona Spiderbite who was a Trans woman. Together the three of them used the pregnancy pod to give birth to the first individual in Mewni to have three biological parents.

24. Aleki is believed to be Lanuola's son however, this is speculated as only a written letter from Astrophel mentions in one line of Lanuola being seen with a small child, however, whether the child was biologically hers or if she adopted him is unknown even to this day.

25. Emilia was expected to be the 49th Queen of Butterfly Kingdom, however, after getting sucked onto a train she'd created with her emotional repairment spell as a way to help her deal with the grief of losing her lover and fiancé to a car crash shortly before their wedding day. Worse still, Emelia would give birth to their daughter Tulipa on the train, both would ultimately pass away after her spell went out of control and the wand would mysteriously make its way back to her sister Setareh's room, her turtle necklace wrapped around the handle.

26. Prisola Vespa is the one to inherit Butterfly Kingdom after the fall of the Butterfly Dynasty during Queen Vespa's battle for the throne against her own son, Pandora and her daughters, ultimately perishing as a result of the conflict. After inheriting the throne and wand Prisola would take on the surname Vespa which in Italian means 'Wasp' (thanks to TheFaeCrystal for the name) and as a result started the Vespa Dynasty where this AU will end on a cliffhanger for those to continue it if they wish.
