Cecelia seems to exude the air of a good mother. She is kind and sweet to those she first meets, more then willing to show her support for them, even if she hardly knows them. To her children who are always by her side Cecelia constantly coddles them and gives them whatever they want, even though they cannot speak a word. However her mask is easily cracked, making interacting with Cecelia akin to walking on an active mine field. This can range from simply saying you don't want to do something with her, to ignoring her when she speaks to you. Whenever a fit has passed, Cecelia continues on with her conversation as if it had never happened, almost as if she is unaware of what she is doing. The truth is she is fully aware of everything, but after a few centuries of living at the circus and dealing with the guilt of her past and her wish turned nightmare, Cecelia has simply learned to shut it all out. As a result she lives in self deluded state of mind in which everything is alright, she is a mother who lives and works at the circus with her children.
P R E S E N T
Since the events of Cirque de la Luz, Cecelia has taken a turn for the worse. Forcing herself into a state of denial in order to keep herself stable in circus, a second personality formed long ago to create a form of escape from the reality of the situation. With the loss of what little faith she had left in the world she feels no point to anything and become heavily depressed. She sees no desire in anything and struggles to even drag herself out of bed. It is suspected that her second personality comes out during the day to drag the otherwise exhausted body through the day, falling into a routine she prefers not to be broken. Alone or at night her mind runs through every choice she has made, part of her hoping to find some way to fix what had lead her to the circus but in the end only to reflect on everything. She'll put a negative on everything said to her and truly believes she is beyond saving, whether this is true or not is up to individual opinion. All restraints she had put on herself in relation to her past seem to be gone as she will openly and casually speak of her history, as she had long come to terms with the murders and sees no value in them to guilt herself given no one remembers her. She sees no future for herself and as a result, sees no reason to put effort into even faking joy.

In a time long ago, it was common for women to be raised proper, polite and good enough to be married off to a decent hard working man. Or at least a man with money, sometimes families weren't picky. And Cecelias family was one of them. Not that she took mind to it as she was raised in the most traditional of ways, be kind but proper, find a husband, have his children and be a mother and wife. In truth she wanted nothing more of her life than that, and as a result did her best to be the perfect lady in order to get her dream life. But even from a young age, a glaring problem could not be avoided in Cecelia. A temper as horrid as a Taurus on a bad day and triggered by the most oddest of things. Her family had learned to cope with her temper and in return Cecelia found ways to vent her anger when triggered by her family. But for those outside her family, it was not as easy to understand or to quell her anger. And when Cecelia finally came of age to begin courting, things only got worse from there. Cecelia happily accepted any man to try his luck with her but upon getting to know her a bit better, men would quickly find excuses to leave and suddenly not want to speak to her again. She couldn't fully understand why the men were so rude to her. She was pretty enough, nice enough, so why did they run from a little spat or two?
She would pace back and forth in her room every night, wondering what could be done to fix this. But the more and more she thought about it, the more she grew upset until she found smashing things to be her only way to vent her anger. Then one night, smashing things wasn't helping. She grew frustrated with this pent up rage, unable to find a way to let it go and in desperation sought out a new thing to smash. Making her way to town, she ran into one of the men who had tried to court her. And like the others that followed he made sure not to cross paths with her. Such rude behavior, she couldn't ignore it. After all, she came all the way out to town to see him. She followed after him with a smile, causing him to walk a bit faster in hopes to get away. But she didn't stop, following him all the way to his home. Of course, she didn't go into the house. It would be rude to go in someones home uninvited. So instead she waited outside for the lights to turn out, resting and hiding behind a tree in the meantime. Once the lights were out, Cecelia made her way inside with a rock in hand. And after a frantic struggle with the man, she vented her anger to him and calmed down for the night. Finally she returned home in the early morning, her clothes stained with red. Her family, in a panic of such a sight, demanded they know what had happened to her. Cecelia simply smiled and told them she was working on her problems.
Of course word of the mans death spread through the town like wild fire but few persuading words from Cecelia kept her family quiet about the matter. In the following months, more and more deaths began to happen. Each young men from the town or neighboring towns who would come to visit. Authorities couldn't figure out who was murdering these men in their homes, and the few that knew or had some hint were either "persuaded" as Cecelias family was, or promptly taken care of to keep quiet. After all, Cecelia had anger issues, she had come to accept that. Why was she going to let a few people stop her from working out her issues? Sadly, at some point Cecelia had to admit to herself that none of this was making her happy. All she had wanted was a family, but the fact most men were afraid about coming out had made that impossible. And with even visitors becoming so far a few, most likely due to fear of the killer. So now was she going to have a family? Well, if a man wouldn't help her, maybe she could convince a woman to. With new found hope, Cecelia began taking special night walks in hopes of finding a mother who could give her a child. But of course, not a soul could be found outside by then. Not that she could blame them, with a killer walking the streets no one would want to be in the dark alone. Of course, this meant Cecelia had to try a new approach. So, she told her family she was going on a small trip to the next town over, wanting to see the sights and hoping to find a mother who could give her the answers she wanted. And with forced smiles and shaky hands, they bid her goodbye as she left.
This town was much more lively than her own, it was probably because they thought they were all safe. Cecelia smiled at the sight of all the people and found a place to stay until the evening came. And as she had hoped, she found a family on their way home for the night during the first few nights in her trip. It didn't take much to get them to stop; a simple falling to the floor, pretending to be injured to draw their attention. The mother was so kind to Cecelia, she envied the woman and took comfort in her warmth as she stabbed her. Oh but the children grew so loud afterwards, such a bother. Cecelia knew the children had to be polite and quiet, or else how could they be her children? And after a few reminders of what became of their mother, the children were more then convinced to stay quiet and come with her. Though on the way back to her room, one child did manage to sneak off to get help. Cecelia didn't bother to go after them, after all if the child wasn't going to behave, then let nature dish out the punishment. After a quiet, whimper filled walk back to her room, Cecelia began telling the children a story of a good girl who didn't get what she wanted. But before she could finish her story, she found herself interrupted by a knock at the door. A rather loud one in fact. It was the owner of the inn, demanding to be let in as he was warned of a killer in his inn. Of course Cecelia couldn't risk being caught, but she couldn't bare to leave her "children" behind. So with a sad smile and a brief hug for each of the children, Cecelia told them to be good while she was gone and jumped out of the second story window of her room. The fall did hurt but Cecelia couldn't rest for a moment, not with police calls in the wind. She ran to the nearby woods and back to her home in hopes of hiding, but after a night of running came to find police waiting for her there. This couldn't be, she thought too herself as she watched the police walk around her home, they promised not to tell. But she couldn't waste any more time thinking about that, not anymore. She fled back into the woods and continued to run for what felt like days. She didn't know how far she had to go to be safe, she just knew she had to run.
After 3 days of running and hiding in the woods, Cecelia happened upon a circus. Injured, tired and hungry, she wandered onto the grounds hoping to get something to eat. Instead, she was greeted by a man. He smiled at her like the men had before and offered his hand as he asked,
"May I offer you some help? Perhaps a wish to end your troubles?"
Ceceli couldn't understand why he worded it in such a way, and laughed with a tired smile. "Unless you can make me a mother, nothing can end my troubles." she said with through her tired laughs.
"Then you shall be a mother." And with a wave of his arm, motioned to three lone pumpkins sitting together. "I can help you turn these into pumpkaboo. They will be lost when they awake and they could use a mother like yourself to watch over them. And to aid you, you may live here at my circus. All I ask is that you work to earn your keep."
Cecelia couldn't believe what she was being told, the man had to be spouting lies. But even to her, it wasn't uncommon to hear of Gourgeist taking souls and putting them into pumpkins. It was just something wild Gourgeist did. But if they could do it, perhaps she could to. She walked away from the man who quietly faded away, towards the sounds of the crowd that populated the circus grounds. Many stared at her in confusion but she paid no mind, she only watched the children that ran about in joy. It didn't take long for a few to run off without their parents and right behind Cecelia followed. Was what the man told her true? Even as she followed behind the children she couldn't believe in such wold magic. But as she placed a hand on their heads, she saw it with her own eyes in disbelief. They didn't make a sound as their souls left their body, so small and delicate as their floated in her hands. She couldn't help but smile to herself, these were going to be her babies. She would raise them to be good children, who loved their mother and did as they were told. It would be perfect, and she could live at the circus and just earn her place. She didn't have to go home and face the police. Surely Arcueus was smiling down at her for this chance. With a smile on her face, she held the souls to the pumpkins and watched as they entered the hollow plants. Their eyes glowed as they came to life, taking a moment to blink and look around before looking up at Cecelia.
"I am your mother." she said in a sweet voice, holding her arms out to them.
The children didn't say a word, didn't smile but stepped to Cecelia to hug her back. Finally she got what she wanted, a family to call her own. For Cecelia, she had her happy ending.
Too bad it wasn't.
Her wish held more backlash than Cecelia was aware, not realizing the true magic at work. The magic Mr. Dark granted to Cecelia to steal souls was broken at best, leaving the children she thought were alive nothing more than living puppets, only acting as Cecelia wanted them to. If they were too far from Cecelia, they would drop where they stand like lifeless dolls. And the only way to bring them back to "life" was if Cecelia touched them. Blinded by her delusion, it took centuries for Cecelia to fully grasp the reality of her situation. After all, she had lived for so long by now not aging even a day after she had first arrived, the impossible didn't seem so crazy for a while. Sadly, such a revelation did not go over well with Cecelia. She lashed out in rage and confusion, breaking anything she could get her hands on her room until not even that was enough. She had to end this nightmare, death was a far better reality then the one she had tricked herself into living. But any attempts to try and end her life were thwarted by her "children". They would hold her arms, stop her from moving no matter how much she screamed and struggled. Finally, she snapped.
In order to save what was left of her mind, Cecelia began to lie to herself. Trapping herself in a reality that never was in order to keep herself somewhat sane. She couldn't die, her children weren't even alive, and though she didn't know it, she couldn't bare any child. Just an added bonus just in case someone was dumb enough to lay with the Gourgeist. After all, she had her family, what did she need real children for?
P R E S E N T
During the events of Cirque de la Luz, Cecelia was granted a wish from the cheerful Cresselia. The only thing the gourgiest wished for was her death, so a loophole was found to allow that. Or at least something close. Her mind went into a deep sleep within itself, allowing the second personality full control of the body. However during that short time the second personality could feel something was off about her and struggled to find it but at the same time not remember what it was. Upon realizing she was created and the body was not hers she panicked and did everything she could to make cure Cecelia did not wake up, since if she did the second personality would go back to sleep and probably never wake up again. However with the disappearance of Cirque de la Luz, so too did Cecelias slumber fade and awoke to the reality. Upon seeing what had happened to her through the second personalitys eyes, it was clear to see Cecelia had no hope. If even a pokemon as powerful as Cresselia could not bring her death and freedom from the circus then who could? Filled with despair from her loss of faith Cecelias lingering depression worsened, reducing her to lifeless shell of even her former self.
-Cecelias children are literally puppets
- Part of her mind still sees Mr. Dark as a father (because he was the only one to give her children). But another part loathes him and wants to kill him for the reality. Because Cecelia prefers to stay in a state of disillusioned bliss, she speaks kindly of Mr. Dark.)
- Cecelia was raised in a more strict time and still carries those mannerisms and ideals, despite where she lives now
- Every story she tells is true
- Is technically dead to the world since she went missing while on the run from the law
- Eyes and mouth glow when she shows more emotion. Her children puppets do the same as they are linked to her
- It is unknown if the souls in the pumpkaboo are aware. They only seem to be capable of movement and very little reaction
- The pumpkaboo stop Cecelia from causing herself self harm. After all they need their mother
- Common things that set Cecelia off: denying something from her (even if it's done politely or because you don't like the thing), ignoring her, lying, pitying and being pitied, reminding her how her children act, telling her no (don't let her bring up her being your new mom), mistakes
- The pumpkaboos all vary in sizes. The smallest has a more direct link to Cecelias feelings, often acting out with no filter to Cecelias lifeless self. The average sized one is more a proper puppet, only acting on Cecelias commands, both out loud and subconsciously. The largest seems to have the most independence, taking an active role in assuring Cecelias safety and the most aggressive of the trio
Second Personality
- The second personality has no separate name and responds to the name Cecelia.
- The personality is an accumulation of the unrealistic ideals Cecelia had and felt she needed in order to be a good mother, many traits she lacked in her real self. She is highly friendly, overly forgiving and has an admittedly primitive idea of the role of a woman in society
- Because of the above, the second personality doesn't believe she is real
- It is unknown if the second personality is active during the day or if it just Cecelia acting
- The pumpkaboos have the same connection to the second as they do with Cecelia but only act to the one that is active
*Please do not rp the pumpkaboo or assume what their actions will be in a god mod sense! Because they are Cecelias puppets they would only act as she wants them and not as you might want them to act/rp them.*

I was just wondering because I really like this character.

No real special reason honestly.
Part of it was my life got busy with school and my work and I didn't have the time to put into the group I wanted to. Other part was that the character hit a wall and was at a point where she was unplayable for people (due to heavy depression and refusing to leave her room or let anyone in) and my wanting to make sure I played her right basically made it to the point where she couldn't canonly participate in events.

Well Cecelia would go based on her outward appearance so she'd see an adult not a child. Plus (Iunno if I've made it clear in her app, if not I'll have to make sure to add it in) she actually isn't that good at dealing with actual children for that long since she dislikes crying and whining quite a bit cause she sees that as "misbehaving".
And no, no soul stealing xD;;; I'm going with an idea that anthro/domestic pokemon don't have the same full powers as wild pokemon, so a thing such as soul stealing would be a thing all Gourgeist can do but they only know how to do it if they were taught it, otherwise they don't know. Cecelia was only able to do it because Mr. Darks magic "helped" her a bit. Iunno if she'd still be able to do it now that her wish is granted xD;;

Ah, well you don't have to mind that about Gardie because she's very well behaved as she was also raised in classic mannerisms of a lady. However, she is sensitive, so if Cecelia has one of her 'fits' in front of her, depending on how angry or loud she gets, Gardenia may start crying from fear, might even think that she's going to hurt her.
Ah, okay I was just wondering if she could do that after the wish was granted. That makes sense. Okay so others should be -somewhat- safe then.
