I figured it's time to give this Twittering Birds Never Fly (Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai) animatic project a bit of an update outside of status posts!
This project has been a huge part of my life lately, it's my sole drive and passion and I rarely feel this way about my art.
My Twitch community has had to listen to me talk about it non stop for a month and a half, but I haven't really talked about it outside of the livestreams.

After finishing the draft to the whole song , I was ready to lay the project to rest. Yet, after watching E ve's Dramaturgy MV I felt inspired and encouraged to attempt to refine the 251 scenes I'd roughed out.
It was initially a daunting thought, but I figured I had nothing to lose, might as well treat it like a practice, since I'm generally too lazy to practice LOL.

Under a month, I found myself having finished 50 scenes, then 100, then 150. Slowly but surely, I was finishing scenes I didn't think I would be able to refine. It's been wild.
I love this story so, so, so very much and the love has been serving as an incredible motivation to push out these drawings.
It teaches me many things, paneling, expressions, gestures, continuity. Flow of motions, leading the eyes, telling a story.
The challenge is quite immense, since I'd never had to think about many of these things when making illustrations, but I am having an absolute blast.

This compilations contain crops of selected 20 scenes in the 2nd chorus and post-chorus.

Currently I'm up to scene 180 out of 251 and just finishing up the bridge to the last part of the song.
Thank you to everyone who's been supporting me throughout this project and showing up for my workstreams on Discord. It helps me stay focused and it really means a lot to me.
