I would have said electric - the cord design, off the top - unless that mount needs a lot of mobility - which means then that most of the clamping mechnism is under the metal, and therefore hard to repair...
(sorry. Farm life. *sigh*)

I second the radioactive comment. Pretty cool though. It has a nice comforting glow...in a radioactive kind of way. lol

hydraulic? looks like there's something radioactive going on with the green glow...

As I always ask... polygon count? Render time?
I take it that since it's a work-in-progress for something that you used lower-quality light bouncing, as you can see some noise on the shadows... there seems to be some problems with the smoothing angle on the two fuel tube-thingies, at the top/bottom of the green slits. Prolly need to reduce your smoothing angle a little or something.

Well changes have been made sence this rendering, but from what i can guess there are around 80,000 polygons (mind you that includes the wireing) and took a time of around 2 and a half mins to render.
As you guessed, i did a 5 ray per sample radiosity, resulting in the dithering.
The small smoothing error that you are referring to goes away under more advanced lighting. but thanks for noticing
Thanks, helps to have someone look.
