Description
This is a Fabric "Patch" (for lack of a better word) that I created using different fabrics and thread. I referenced screenshots to design each character in the series, then cut out the pieces and sewed them together.

Define Dancing was the eighth that I created, therefore the eighth in the series. For the fire extinguisher's spray, I used... Come on, guess! Yup, you got it! The little squares of cotton you find in ring/jewelry boxes!!! No joke! For EVE's trail, I used the blue fabric from the BnL Logo. (It's the blue circle surrounding the 'n'. ^^) And yes, the background fabric IS the fabric from AUTO. Told ya I had other plans for it! ^^

...But, oh my, where do I begin?!? I guess I'll say this first: I'M SORRY THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LATE!!!! I really wanted to make sure that I treated this piece with delicacy. This is one of my favorite pieces of the movie (the music that accompanies it is my favorite piece of music of ALL TIME.) and I didn't want to disgrace it. ...Problem is, I don't know if I did. I had a really hard time with this patch, complete with tons of problems.

Time for my grocery list of perfectionist complaints:
The overall characters are probably misshapen, due to the fact that I went off of a sketch. (Define Dancing shots for that angle (that are clear resolution-wise) are hard to find at the time.) WALL-E's tread tire knobs aren't round. His eye's slightly folded in the photo. The fire extinguisher doesn't have the labeling. EVE's screen is out of proportion. The background fabric is misshapen. EVE is sort of 'fuzzy'. WALL-E's 'E' is not completely visible in the photo. The lighting I used underaccentuates the purple in the background.
And the two big ones:
I MESSED UP WALL-E'S FRONT PLATE! XP The gray plate that is on the front of his box was left out of my original sketch, so I forgot to plan for it. I had to add a gray piece back in underneath WALL-E's hand 3/4 of the way through, and I couldn't do his solar panel. XP
AND EVE'S TRAIL... This is the reason for it being late. I realized that I hadn't done her trail and had NO IDEA of what to do. So it sat on my desk... for a day... a week... a month... Life got hectic and I still had no ideas. I finally decided to go for an abstract look and pray it looked good. And you know, looking at the photo, I'm sorta... glad. It looks alright, and if I wanted it to be perfect, I'd go buy a REAL patch, for crying out loud!! But it's fanart, and that's the point: It's not supposed to be perfect.
...Epiphanies make me happy. ^^

I actually added stars with my silver thread. It gives it a space look, no? ^^ BUT there is a deleted scene of sorts (XD) in this patch. A special thread I was going to use in the piece got (literally) cut out. But don't worry; this pivotal piece will be seen soon!

I have decided that BURN-E will wait until the DVD comes out; that way, I have screenshots to base it on! (What with the short and all that. ^^) But I think the AXIOM is due for a patch, and after that, I'm all ears!
