Operation:Enduring Resistance 2 of 3

The darkened skies would draw a parallel to the battles now being fought along the front, forming a stark contrast to the easy victories won only days before. The British Army was now reaching the limits of human endurance, five days of almost constant fighting had left the men battered, bloodied and fatigued but their greatest trial still lay ahead. Chimeran units had regrouped and reorganized, as British forces entered the shattered remains of London they came under substantial fire from the ruined suburbs and bombed out streets as undetected Chimeran ambushes gave way to full on counter attacks. Both sides successfully parried blow after blow in what was now becoming a bitter stalemate, this was to be the decisive battle of Operation:Enduring Resistance, one side refusing to give up their positions and the other refusing to fail after coming so far.

The brutal street to street fighting was only eclipsed by the ruthlessness of Chimeran units whom had entered into a state of desperate frenzy in what was quickly devolving into a battle for survival. Concentrating their efforts, British forces slowly but gradually began breaking through the defensive line with a volatile mix of suicidal bravery and sheer weight of numbers, advancing through narrow gaps along the front, sowing chaos on the enemy rear line.
