You've found a nice balance in your colouring, keeping things toned down, allowing the rainbow to do the shouting. You have obviously got a keen eye for what looks right in a design, and your story telling is starting to flourish.
It's time to start finding weight! Shy away from having characters (or yourself) standing in a straight line, next time you draw just tilt the shoulders a little and you'll see for yourself, it automatically adds interest, start trying to find energy and life in your drawing. I know you can do it (although doing those things right, weight/balance, life, force will take years to perfect, but I think you're ready to start! Start looking at a thing called 'gesture drawing')
and the key to this is that whenever you draw, imagine you are gliding you're pencil tip 'around' the surface of the object you are drawing, as if you moulding a 3d sculpture on the paper. Feel it and it will have life.

I realize this, and I've been trying to slink into it. This picture was really stoic because I actually wanted it to be that way, it kind of explains me. The boring stance was supposed to be that way for a reason... Because I'm pretty boring, ha! But other works, I really have been trying hard to add more movement and life. I used Paint Tool SAI to color it, it's quite a lovely program. ;u; This is only my third time using it, though.

Well... Eh... The picture seemed too dull without it,
I thought it'd be nice to add in somethings that kind of
are associated with me... The rainbow was because I'm colorful
(on the inside, at least), octopus was because... I LOVE CREATURES
AND OGAOSDGJASDHFADJSAAS OCTOPUSES RULE. The records and music notes
were because I love music, I'm guided by it a lot... Rain, because
I'm also a rainy person, and incidentally, where I live rains
nonstop.
The "voodoo" doll is actually my alter-ego, Kurry. ;u; He just
needed to be there, since he's part of me.
