I really need to start drawing more regularly again. I use to love uploading loads of pictures when I first started doing MLP art and I kinda miss that. At the same time though I've gotten a lot better as I take more time on pictures nowadays so something good comes out of it at least.

Back to the picture and here are two ponies I've wanted to draw together for a while. Of course it's Twilight's two students Sunset and Starlight! For a while, it was such a shame to see these two "separated" as Shimmy is exclusive to EQG whilst Glimmy was exclusive to FIM. That is until the two lovely mares met each other and became friends! Which I'm so glad happened since the both of them have so much in common.

Here's something I need to get off my mind. I've grown to LOVE Starlight in Season 7 of FIM. I love her relationship with Trixie and how she seems to be the saner mare of the duo, I also like her friendship with Maud Pie as well, and the overall perspective of hers of how difficult it's been of settling as Twilight's student ever since she became good. Sunset however, my love has diminished a bit. Don't get me wrong I still love her as well, but to be perfectly honest I have not watched Equestria Girls for ages except for the short involving these two. Equestria Girls doesn't interest me anymore unfortunately, due to reasons I'm not gonna say for now...To be fair though I've heard one of the latest shorts involving Sunset is meant to be REALLY good (Forgotten Friendship I think it's called?) so would it be worth checking out? Let me know please!

With that all out of the way, onto the drawing! This is the first time in quite a while I've uploaded (but not attempted) to draw two characters together again. It's odd though because when I draw this picture I originally intended to only do Starlight. But these days I draw my ponies quite small so I had plenty of room for another horse and wanted to Sunset obviously Of the two Sunset is by far the easier pony to draw. She's easier to sketch (although her bacon mane is still tricky!) and she's easier to colour. Starlight meanwhile has a lot "going on" with her. Her mane is far more complex, her colour scheme is more difficult and easier for me to mess up (as you can probably see with her coat) And compared to a lot of the mainstream characters, she's far harder to draw overall. Still I had a blast doing this! I switched from using pencils to promarkers and these things are amazing! The colours come out so much clearer and I now have a bigger choice when it comes to colour variety. It wasn't too long again I use to draw with just 24 different colours, but I'm honestly amazed I even did xD Overall though, I love this picture and more importantly I'd love these two and I want to see them together again!
