Description
The title and the piece itself are inspired by Shakespeare. I was playing around with the idea in my head at the theatre this spring (don't get me wrong; the plays were riveting - but my mind rather enjoys playing with visual puns), and somehow the storm turned interstellar, the showers meteoric. There's also an element of the Fool from tarot symbolism, walking merrily off a precipice.

This one is 18" x 24" (yes, I had to crop a fair slice of nebulae due to scanner constraints), coloured pencil (Prismacolor, primarily, with some modest assistance from Faber-Castell when the poppy red ran out) on Stonehenge cotton paper, 2014.

I owe a debt of gratitude to NASA's photographic commons, for giving us space to look at, and for the wonderfully unearthly stone beneath my fool's feet.
