Whoa! What amazing details, especially with color pencils!
Strangely, there is no reflection of Matrka in the waters though. Also, despite the light, there is no extra light bouncing back off the waters on the rocks
maybe I'm just being too nitpicky because this piece really is astounding. Great proportions; sky looks fabulous.

Not quite impossible, I hope. Yes, all Prismacolor pencils, with some OMS wash as a solvent in some areas.

Odourless Mineral Spirits - It's the paint-thinner that oil painters use. It works on coloured pencils. Just a bit dabbed on with a cotton swab or q-tip can blend together the grainy look of coloured pencil. I used it here on the water and mountains.

This is so beautiful. I really wish I could create something like that with pencil crayons

Yes, indeed. Matrka is a more generic name; most people know her as Kali or (according to my Greek mythology book) a sort of proto-goddess, like Gaia in Greek myth or Mother Earth in other myths. I had to do a bit of research for this commission, but it really is fascinating. It makes me want to read more about the Indian myths.

Thank you very much! (I'll pass the colour comment on to the recipient, as she picked the colours she wanted. )
