Description
Rough, primitive and unclear. That is sorta how to describe my sketches when I mean to be honest.Some things will be flawed but in the end, it will be (usually) quick and shows you the basic drawing.

I have to say, I like the sketch version better than the ink version. The finished is obviously superior to both, though.

I think I know why. Or I hope I do.
It's that it's actually quite blank and doesn't look "deep". If I do add some basic black and white "color" and eye detail then it would probably look better then the sketch.
Or so I'd hope.

That's exactly it! Yeah, do some light shading on your inking and it should seem a lot nicer.
