Description
The first in a planned series of pieces for my creative project Qruestfall, inspired by the 00's Italian animated series Huntik: Seekers and Secrets. In Qruestfall, magic users are able to summon, or "beckon", magical creatures from another world called Fallers through the use of talismans. These Fallers take on the appearance and abilities of various creatures from real world legends, mythologies, folklores, and religions. The most powerful of these, the Legendary Fallers, each embody a key facet of nature and can only be controlled by the most skilled of mages. For the first of these, I commissioned my good friend Heartz Exodus to bring to life the Embodiment of the Land: Behemoth.
"Being the Embodiment of the Land, Behemoth is a very large and very powerful Faller. Its bellow alone can be heard for miles, but this is truly the least of its power. It uses its sharp, ram-like horns, whip-like tail, and massive tusks to great effect in combat, dominating opponents with its sheer size and power. By slamming its tail or hooves into the ground, it can split the earth or call up mountains. It is truly deserving of the title of Embodiment of the Land."
I asked Heartz to base the design of this piece on the biblical description of Behemoth. They also took influence from many other depictions of Behemoth in the modern day, giving it features from hippos, elephants, dinosaurs, and other large herbivores. The mountain hump was my idea.

(If you're wondering why the commission name is different to the account name, I made this account long before I had a consistent handle across different websites and I can't be bothered to pay for Core so I can change it.)
