Description
Railway guns were large artillery pieces used in 19th and 20th century. Mostly ww1 and that one big boy in ww2.This is mine 280mm (around 11 inches, I think) gun, as you can see, I focused on gun part rather than railway.
I just couldn't be bothered to draw the railway wagon.
During the ending months of ww1 Mariosanian army has found a abondened railway gun from unknown country.
The finding peeked the interest of artillery command who ordered the gun to be shipped to Mariosania for examination.
In Mariosania they found that it's not in terrible condition and ordered a renovation.
The engeenirs took the barrel, fixed the firing mechanism and built a new platform for it.
Unforunelly the new artillery piece was finished too late for action in ww1 and stayed in country.
It was instead use in following Mariosanian-Swedish Border conflict of 1919-20
The Pattern 18 (known as DziaΕo Kolejowe 280mm Wz.18) was some-what of pride of army.
In 1928 it became a part ofΒ Rail Citadel armored train and alongside it would see service in ww2 eastern front where Mariosania got heavily involved.
Name: 280mm Pattern 18
Type: Railway Gun
