My favorite story arc in the series. Pluto hunts down the strongest robots in the world so only it remains, one of which is Astro. The story had a later adaptation by none other than Naoki Urasawa (Monster) the name given to this short series is βPluto.β It dives deeper into the concept of having a robot with free will and the good and bad it can bring.Related content

His first appearance is in the 80's anime, episodes 23 and 24.

I don't know if you'd like Pluto then, its takes it and expands it. You start to care about them a bit, but in the back of your mind you know what's going to happen to them.

That's only the chapter name, my friend. Unless you're talking about the different Astro Boy adaptation, in which case its just called "Pluto" as in the main antagonist robot.Β
