A good source for anybody looking for more bookbinding tutorials: iBookBinding - www.ibookbinding.com
Site also has other book arts related information and tutorials (marbling, paper-making, conservation etc).
Thanks,
Paul

You should try using bee wax for the threads, it makes them a lot stronger for the book binding '0'

That is true but for something like this it isn't that important.
When your doing multiple section bindings and coptic books where the thread needs extra strength, wax (or waxed thread) is needed.

Lol I learned some book-binding techniques in a course I took in college. It's called a B-stitch for obvious reasons, rofl. And yeah, the B-stitch is probably the easiest stitch to make.

Cool.
I guess I should have realised it would be called things in different countries (at least I'm assuming your not from the UK).
I have always been taught it as a pamphlet stitch

Thank you for this tutorial! I've always wanted to make my own sketchbooks of some of my favorite papers to take with me when I travel, but never knew how.

Quick follow-up question if you don't mind.
Your description box says this is the first of the basic bookbinding tutorials. I take it to mean that there will be further tutorials, perhaps for making multi-signature books or stab-binding or other methods, yes?
Are you planning on making series of these tutorials?

Yes. I will be uploading more very soon.
I had hoped to have done quite a few more by now *embarrassed* but work has just gotten in the way!
I will let you know when more are uploaded
