Description

Imagine a world before mankind, or any ape for that matter. Imagine a world before placental mammals, grass, snakes, ants, or even birds. This world did at one point exist but what if it wasn’t quite how the fossil record remembers? Could there be ancient mysteries that were never meant for the eyes of man? If that world did exist perhaps somewhere out in the immensity of the universe it could have looked something like Triasslya.

The Poposaurids were a very successful group of Triassic Pseudosuchians that reigned for millions of years alongside other mighty archosaurs of the era. They're not well known largely due to no major representation in media, yet they managed to derive into many different niches during their hay day. Poposaurids of Triasslya are also very successful harboring many forms that remain important factors in the ecosystems they inhabit.

One of the larger Poposaurs are the Lotobronts. These giant herbivores are in the Lotosaur family remaining herbivorous like their relatives but thanks to living in large swamps and eating soft water plants they manage to grow to substantial sizes. The most noticeable aspect of these creatures are their large horns on their head, these are mainly just for interspecies combat between males, but females carry smaller horns as they seem to be a great indicator of health in both sexes. The horns can be used in defense quite effectively, but the Lotobronts prefer to evade predators with their surprising speed thanks to their bipedal running gait.

The Lotobronts are found anywhere that swamps, marshes, wetlands, or any other environments with soft aquatic vegetation to feed on. Sometimes they can be caught travelling in drier environments, but this seems to be in response to migration or in search of new land to occupy. Most Archenkin peoples of Triasslya believe the Lotobront to be gregarious but this isn't entirely true. Yes, these animals can be found grazing together often but the animals don't seem to have much preference for solidarity or socializing. They simply tolerate the presence of their own kind as there's usually quite enough grazing ground to share, the young of the species don't receive any aid from their mothers either when hatching from the egg.

Vanlitro are the ones that encounter the Lotobront more often than the other people's given they tend to capture the wetter lands. Some countries have managed to tame a decent number of the Lotobront and turned them into capable steads and animals of burden. The Lotobronts lower intelligence and yet tolerance for non-threatening creatures within its radius made it quite the desirable tame.
