She liked the most recent mask, bc she said it was the least busy, so, I took a long hard look and recalled two truisms in background design, which are: 1)too much details is the same as no detail at all; and 2)unless the background's the focus, DON'T FOCUS ON IT!

Those two truisms in mind, I fired up my tablet, put on EFAP (aka "every frame a pause") with Mauler, and cranked out this; aaand, tbh, I think I made a legit winner this time.
