Scourge is a small black tom with one white paw, pale, icy-blue eyes, and a torn left ear. He is known for wearing a collar studded with teeth from cats and dogs, and his claws are reinforced with dogs' teeth.
Scourge is the leader of BloodClan, the gang of rogues living by a nearby Twolegplace. Though he is very small, this cat leads his Clan with an iron claw and kills anyone who stands against him, and only thinks of killing other cats as a kind of sport.

Thunder is a sturdy, large, fiery ginger tom the color of autumn leaves, with a broad head, broad shoulders, amber eyes, and big white paws.
Thunder thinks that he should rule the forest because he can fight and hunt the best in the undergrowth and trees. He is said to be strong, courageous, and determined.
After his fallen companions, the very first StarClan cats, talk to him and the other cats he becomes the first leader of ThunderClan. He is listed as one of the significant leaders. He works with the other three leaders, Wind, River, and Shadow (Sky is not mentioned, but is said to be present at the battle in Code of the Clans) to develop the warrior code. It is said in Clan legend that Thunder was the leader who developed some of the warrior code's more compassionate elements.

Owlstar is a dark gray tom with large, unblinking, amber eyes.
As an apprentice, he goes out at night, and watches the owl living in the Owl Tree. He follows the owl when it hunts, which, in turn, reveals the secrets of hunting at night. He soon grows up to be the best hunter in ThunderClan.
Although it is unknown what happens to ThunderClan's first deputy, Lightningtail, Owleyes succeeds him, and eventually becomes Owlstar; Thunderstar's successor.

Clear Sky or Sky, is a light gray tom with blue eyes.
Sky is only briefly mentioned as a rogue. He is the best hunter from his hunting grounds. After a battle that was so dreadful that the ground beneath Fourtrees was red with blood, spirits of deceased cats came to him, and Thunder, River, Shadow, and Wind. The five cats promised to end the fighting and live separately in their own hunting areas.
Was the father of Thunder , the founder of ThunderClan. Clear Sky, rejects him since the kit would remind him of Storm(Thunder`s mother).
Vicky has confirmed that Clear Sky and Sky are one and the same.

Shadow is a sleek, thick-furred, muscular, large black she-cat with green eyes.
Shadow is the founder and first leader of ShadowClan. She aids the other original leaders, Wind, Thunder, River, and presumably Sky (who is not mentioned) to create the Warrior Code, and apparently spends the rest of her life complaining about it. She is described as a strategist, ferociously independent, even to the point of distrusting her own Clanmates, and bold in battle. Her nature is shown when she is the first cat to declare that she can lead all the cats in the forest by reminding the other cats of her natural ability to stalk and hunt in the dead of the night.
Shadow is the first of the ancient leaders to lose her ninth life, in a battle she started with other Clans.

River is a silver-gray tom with long fur and bright, wide green eyes.
He is the founder and the first leader of RiverClan, working with Thunder, Wind, Shadow, and presumably Sky, who is not mentioned, to develop the Warrior Code. It is suggested that he is the cat who thinks up a mentoring program for training the apprentices. He is known to be generous and warm-hearted with his own Clan, but not interested in the other Clans' troubles, even skipping Gatherings when possible.

Wind was the founder and first leader of WindClan. She worked with the other four cats that founded the other four Clans, Thunder, River, and Shadow (Sky is not mentioned, but is said to have been present at the battle in Code of the Clans), to develop the warrior code. She is described as proud, wily, and stubborn. Wind is also described as one of the fastest cats in the forest. She, like the others, protests that it is she who should rule the forest.
Some of her descendants are still in the Clans; her closest known family members are Ashfoot and her son, Crowfeather.
