Description This is the sword from Code Geass, i think its from the character Xingke, but i havent seen it so its only kind of speculation >.>
its 41 inches long, the scabbard is 33.5 inches long.
The entirety is made from select pine again excluding the pommel design and the guard design, which have a Bondo overlay (basically fiberglass), the guard was formed first using MDF board because i was able to cut the mdf half way in order to bend it to my needs where it held itself together while i let the bondo settle into it. the wrap is made from 4 strips of black suede and small nails predrilled into the handle.

as always, Comments and Criticisms and Questions are greatly encouraged <3

i hope ~Chibiko likes it <3

I tottally cannot believe you made xing ke's sword even though he used it for only a few scenes O.O once again fibre glass wins XD

well I would of used a wire mesh and get the shape out the guard, becuase it isnt too crazy. I would then use either clay or paper masche for the shape ^^

can u ever get paper mache to sand smooth? and what kind of wire mesh??
also wanted to ask... it seems that every time i sheathe and unsheathe the sword it rubs up on the fabric used to soften it.. and the paint get mussed, or it gets slightly colored.. how do u avoid this in sheathes?

if you sand paper mache, your going to tear the paper fibres leaving lots of strands lol, you just keep smoothing layer by layer.

I would of lined the sheath with a fabric like suede or such to protect the blade.

i just used cloth. a suede interior would be expensive O.O
and ya.. i dont get how to make paper mache smooth.. so.. ill just use fiberglass u can do the same things with it as u can paper mache anyway (and it Does sand smooth )

eh...I like the sword. The only thing is the roughness. That can be fixed with a little time, but I can't really say anything because I don't think I can do something this close.... I think it looks a little bit short...but that's the size for you and Xingke is a giant so...
It's good and I like it. Make it more smooth and you're fine.

heh, the person i made it for told me the exact length she wanted it. she said she had the manga measurements too
and the reason for it being rough.. is for two reasons, one, the first area thats rough is the bondo parts, which is a fiberglass and ive never had to use anything besides wood. so it was a new experience for me to sand and ill do much better next time evening that out. *promise!* and the other part of it is that the mdf cant really get sanded smooth because of its makeup.. itll always look rough. The only part thats still pine and showing is the blade and the scabbard both of which are very smooth heh. <333 thanks for the comment! <333
i appreciate your compliments. took awhile to make *woo!*
