Why yes, I was indeed inspired by the tightrope walker from Disney's haunted mansion, if you were wondering. ...You probably weren't, though.
The original idea that Dess had was to have her drawn in a diving suit, but the dress was added by yours truly to bring home an elegant, classical feel while preserving a little of my inspiration's dark humor, and making this drawing stand on its own... hopefully.
