Happy Inktober, everyone!What's that?
"It’s a month long appreciation of the art of drawing in ink and the practitioners that embrace that art. Where artists make ink drawing all through the month of October." One a day. Everyday.
Ain't nobody got time for that.
To be fair, inking is often times my favorite part of the drawing process, at least in terms of how the drawings look. I love the simplicity, I love monochrome, I love the stark contrast of jet black ink against Bristol paper. Hell, some of the crap in my gallery that I have colored, I had first considered leaving the picture as just an ink drawing.
That said, I figured, why not through in my own contribution to Inktober?
I'm planning on only making three drawings, and might make more if ideas come along. This just happens to be one I have wanted to do for a while, so I figured I would do it first.
Those are simplified Chinese characters for "absolutely" and "hope", at least, according to google translate.
Stick 'em together, and you get the word for despair.
绝 - Absolutely
望 - Hope
绝望 - Despair
Just figured I'd throw that out there so I don't get questions later.
Those are also supposed to be check marks on their faces, except for the girl with long black hair, who has an "X"
Make of it what you will.
This was really relaxing to do, to be honest. I got to practice with clothing designs, didn't worry about coloring or the sketch, and just leave it in that stark, monochrome state I love.
Can't wait to do the next ones
