Personal History: When Kaiki and her sisters were once children of a noble affluent family who spent their days playing with the other noble children including the royal family. Kaiki was especially fond of Lu Ten before he went off to war. One day her father began to protest the war and he was disgraced without his standing and honor he took his life. Their mother snuck out of them out of the Fire Nation and raised them in the Earth Kingdom as deserters. Their mother died a few years later and the girls had to struggle to survive. When the Avatar returned to the world she and her sisters reunited and began their journey to help end the war discover themselves along the way.

After the war ended Firelord Zuko pardoned their family's actions and in time the triplets returned to their homeland for a while. But they were restless and soon found their place in the world elsewhere. Unmei sought to create a sanctum of knowledge of her own in the new Republic City so with her husband Kosua in tow she built the Library of Destiny.
