Description
This is a commission for my friend who was my 10,000 page viewer! It only took me 4,000+ views to actually get around to doing this, but she doesnβt care.I kind'a feel Shere Khan is going on about him being the "true King of the Jungle" seeing as how he proclaimed himself as such back in 1967. He is saying to Rajah (who I'm not sure still to this day if Rajah is a boy of a girl) that The Lion King better move aside for Disney's original big-cats.
Anyways, I drew this because I asked my friend what she wanted, and she said "Tigers!" and I was like "aww...I suck at animals, and I'm on a Disney fix at the moment. Isn't there anything else you would like?" and she said "Simba and Mufasa!" and I was like "Aww, I still suck at animals, even if they ARE Disney..." but then we came to an agreement that Shere Khan from The Jungle Book, and Rajah from Aladdin would be the best of both requests.
I have never drawn either of these to characters before, so it was a learning experience to say the least. Shere Khan's jaw is not one to be meddled with, and Rajah kind'a has a "hugh?" expression going on.

Rajah will be a boy. rajah is a hindi (india) word, which means the king. it would have been rani for a girl, which means the queen.

Good work! Although, Shere Khan's neck is too long and too wide. Also I think he should have a strip down his nose. I do like it though.

Official Disney Art of Shere Khan does not depict him as having a stripe down his nose. The only facial stripes he has are the three on each side of his cheek. His neck is also in proportion to his Original Art on top of being slightly stretched for my picture due to his chin being up. Any thinner of a neck would make his head took far too large.

sadly though, i had to base the characters off existing art, so they look different to a slight degree than how i would have drawn them personally.
the reason the lack stripes is actually because animating stripes is difficult.

That is an awesome concept for a picture! Lol. . .when I was little Shere Kahn always scared the crap out of me xD And personally, I think Raja is a boy!
