July 21st, 2007/ September 16th, 20077+ hours work
This here is a picture that I'd worked on for a while. I had to come up with a picture, not taken from any other source and make my own concept... I don't think I'm explaining that right..... oh well, anyhow.... I made this for my art school... and it is for this years 93rd Annual Art Competition. The main point ( for those who don't get it), is that wolves are murdered everyday, and down cast, thrown to the curb.
This wolf came to one of the "humans" little protests about the Iraq war, in place of all his kind he stands there with a peace flag. While they protest the war, he protests the war against his own kind by the humans.... they want peace.
So yeah... that's basically the concept... he'll probably be shot as you can tell... it goes right over the humans heads... *Sighs* Quite sad really. But I hope everyone understands it.

this is beautiful ^-^ not just because it is a very well done drawing, but because it has a beautiful meaning behind it. well done. very well done. kudos to you! this is truly artwork. another friend thought i might like this and suggested it...they were right. i think i'll look at the rest of your work ^-^ i'm sure you have more wonderful pieces if you could make something like this.

Just a fellow animal lover ^-^ they saw it and liked it. i've recently joined DA about a year ago. i'm not sure if they're still on DA or not :/ they just looked up the artwork for me. but her name is/was Rrrrdarkkitten, if she's still around o_o i'll have to check. (the Rrrr in Rrrrdarkkitten is supposed to be a purr...yeah...she's weird, i know XD but she does it well when she says it)
she and i have had many discussions about the mistreatment of wolves ^-^; so seeing it in art is a nice thing to find. i myself have spoken against animal testing (among other cruelties i don't agree with) and convinced quite a few others to change their thoughts on the subjects. it's just something i'm very passionate about ^-^;; don't get me wrong though, i'm not an obsessive protester or anything. i just don't agree with some of the things people do :/ i'm just not the "join in a protest" kind of person. i'd rather talk to the people individually and share my thoughts so that they can think on them too, and eventually, they might see what i see on their own ^-^ i'm just too peaceful for an all out protest most of the time :/ i'd rather sit and talk it out, like i said *shrug*

I am like that in most ways as well. I'm not a huge "band-wagon" person either. 
I believe in what I believe, and I speak to people about it. Being apart of a group doesn't tend to turn out very well ... something always goes wrong. 
I'd rather do things like this and make a point, something people can see and really think about.

When people are forced to leave their religion, may of them choose death rather the conformity. Religion can be something very hard to just "abandon". What about race? You can't abandon that. Neither your species.

it has a really strong concept which could either be taken as a good thing or a bad thing, usually ignorant people will make it seem like a bad thing to have a strong concept.
but otherwise, even if it doesn't win...I think you should continue with the strong concepts it has a good outcome i can see it in this drawing.

This is a beautiful picture with really powerful and true imagery. Though it is sad sometimes how humans can be so ignorant to the natural forces that govern their own lives as well, we can only hope and strive for a better future. Wonderful job.

Aww man..Kudos..Muchly. This pic is so true.. You never see people holding up signs saying save the wolf. The wolf is an awesome creature an also family to me..All of them. Because wolves are trying to constantly find homes they end up on "mans land" Even wolves who are out in the wild are shot..Far away..Wolves know no bounderies..For man to believe that is self an foolish..But it plays right into their hands.. They are allowed to do this horrible crime.. They don't want to take responsiblity for moving on the wolves territory..No it's theirs now an they have the RIGHT to kill them? F*** that..Wolves we're there first as any animal..It's sad.. Sorry about the rant..>.<;;

That was really sad, how the wolf came to protest for his kind and hold his flag.... it made me cry... for real......... I'm still crying...
Humans should die.... I'm serious. The world would be a better place without us. And you know what else, being human is the worst punishment ever given by God. T_T What have I done to deserve to be human!?!?
Anyways.... about your artwork. The details are just plain amazing!!! I'm sure it looks even better in real life! You're a fine artist. Shading is perfect. I like how everything is black and white except for the wolf's eyes and some of the signs in the background. The perspective is wonderful overall!!!! I love it!!!

Only problem is I don't know what to do... time is running out.
