Goku x Bulma. My long-time Dragonball OTP. Please don't give me comments about how you don't like the pairing. I have enough of those on my Yamcha x Bulma pics.The title comes from the fact that I listened to "Over My Head" by Drowning Pool pretty much the entire time I was doing this. I think it really suits Goku and Bulma's relationship. Give it a try: [link]

You know, I used to hate Goku/Bulma as a couple, but not anymore... They'd make a pretty sweet couple for an alternate universe and now that I really think about it, I'm sure he would've been a much better father if he'd been with Bulma rather than Chi-Chi. Don't like Bulma/Yamcha though. Yamcha seems like too much of an idiot for her and even though Goku's an idiot too, he can be funny, plus he's super strong and has amazing battle savvy, so there's that!!
BTW, I'm reading the Strawberry Saga now and it seems really nice!!

Always thought it was cute that in like...vol...10? of the manga Bulma says something like "I wonder if I missed out....?" in regards to Goku <3

I always though Bulma was better for Goku. I think it's better than VegetaxBulma IMO. I don't like how that pairing just came out of nowhere.

Ever since DragonBall I always had a thing for Goku and Bulma. Even when I was little and didn't even know what anime was. I always felt these two should have ended up together and it would have been the only couple in the entire franchise that I could feel real and true emotions from because of their history. Not to mention it doesn't exceed any of the creepy angst fangirls just eat up in anime couples. GokuxBulma just feels so light and fluffy. GokuxChiChi, VegetaxBulma, GohnaxVidel, Krillinx18 are all couples I didn't even bat an eyelid for but the one couple I like, as usual, never happens! FML!!!! It would have been the ONE pairing Akira Toriyama would have done right too because none of his pairings seemed like he put any real consideration into it. Well I guess Gohan x Videl made sense but I didn't feel anything whatsoever for it. But other fans seem to love his pairings so I guess it's just my bad luck AS USUAL!!! Atleast I can rest easy knowing there aren't many shipping moments in the series to rub in my face.
Btw, amidst my rage it seems I've neglected to mention how lovely this piece of art is. Makes me happy that their is atleast one more GokuxBulma fan in this vast world of VegetaxBulma shippers.

I totally agree with you. EVERY single book, movie, anime, or tv show I think a pairing is cute and they don't end up together. Honestly in DBZ I would have paired Bulma with three other people before Vegeta and I deffinately would have paired Vegeta with a fighter like him, not bulma.

I know, right? The "canon" relationships in Dragonball sucked. The only ones I can actually say I liked were Gohan/Videl and Bulma/Yamcha. But people romanticize the characters and try to read into things that just aren't there. I mean, really. Bulma/Vegeta is the fandom's favorite pairing, but there's nothing romantic/realistic about it AT ALL. The OMGILOVEYOUVEGGIECHAN fangirls make me queasy. I swear to God, there's very little creativity in the DB fandom.

I agree! GokuxChichi/BulmaxVegeta fans are idiots because GokuXBulma is the best and will always be. BulmaxYamcha wasn't as bad but I don't really like or hate the pairing. I hate GokuxChichi and BulmaxVegeta.

I actually kind of like this pairing too. I didn't really get why people shipped it until I watched Dragon Ball and then I was like, "So that's where that comes from." I guess it helps that I'm really not overenthusiastic about any of the canon pairings in the show. I mean, I like them okay and I'll read fanfics about them sometimes and maybe look at good fanart, but they're not OTPs. Bulma/Goku isn't really an OTP either, but I did start to like it a bit from watching DB.
About the actual picture, I think it looks great! I love the coloring and the night sky in the background. I just hope that Goku doesn't decide to look at the moon behind him if he has his tail...

Well, if I have time maybe I'll read it. Can you tell me what the title is to that story? There isn't a lot of Goku/Bulma out there so it would be nice to see something different. I do like Goku/ChiChi and Bulma/Vegeta sometimes (especially if it happens to be a well-written semi-crackfic). But it is nice to see different pairings besides the canon ones. Actually, in many fandoms a lot of my favorite pairings are the non-canon ones. (Although with the show ReBoot I do adore all the canon couples, even the Pair The Spares one.) But right now in DBZ, my favorite crackship is Yamcha/Android 17. I know it's weird, but that's why it's a crackship.
I do get where your dislike for Bulma/Vegeta and Goku/ChiChi comes from because sometimes I dislike those pairings. I usually like ChiChi, but with her and Goku I do get the feeling that he just got tricked into marrying his stalker. As for Bulma/Vegeta, I really hate that cliche that they had twu lurve 4evers! in the Android Saga. Because yeah, Vegeta clearly cares so much about Bulma and that's why he almost let Dr. Gero blow her up. I might believe that those two have more of a love thing going on in the Buu Saga, but in the Android Saga they were totally just fuck-buddies. And they only got together in the first place because the plot demanded that Vegeta needed to have a kid from the future and Bulma was the only aviliable human female because ChiChi was married and everyone forgot Lunch existed.
Long story shot, I get the appeal of Bulma/Goku, especially after watching the DB series.

Because stupidity/delusions I guess? I really don't know. I totally agree with you. Like I said, I would believe that Bulma and Vegeta have a romantic relationship in the Buu Saga especially when Vegeta snaps out of his Maijin craziness and sacrifices himself in an attempt to save Bulma, Trunks and Goku. (There's a lot of interesting directions to take that last one. Directions that involve yaoi.
But yeah, during the Android Saga, I vote hell no on the idea that Bulma and Vegeta's relationship was anything beyond fuck buddy status. Vegeta so didn't love her forever and while I think that Bulma might have cared about Vegeta beyond just a sexual thing (based on how Future Bulma talks about Future Vegeta after his death), their relationship definitely wasn't romantic.
Also, Vegeta certainly didn't have to rescue Bulma from an abusive Yamcha. I swear, that is one of the most stupid cliches in B/V get-together fanfiction. Which is probably why the only B/V get-together fics I like are sort of crack-fics because at least they don't bash Yamcha. They also include hate-sex, which is hilarious and probably what really happened.
Also, I hate this idea people have that Yamcha maybe cheating on Bulma is somehow much worse than committing planetary genocide and almost letting Bulma and Trunks get blown up. Seriously, talk about a skewed view on reality. I also say Yamcha 'maybe' cheated on Bulma because the only person who said he did was Future Trunks and while I love him and all, I really don't consider him to be a reliable source considering who his parents are.

I agree with you that if anything, Bulma is more likely to be abusive to Yamcha. That's not to say I think that's actually what happened, but when consider Bulma's anger issues and the fact that she blows up at Yamcha over trivial things and even threatens to use the dragon balls to wish for a better boyfriend than him just because some girls were coming on to him, then it's clear that she has much more of a controlling behavior pattern in the relationship than Yamcha does. Not to mention, Yamcha didn't even flirt back with those girls at all; he just kinda stood there and looked freaked out. Poor Yamcha is so awkward in DB, but I do find oddly endearing.
Anyway, I know there are B/V fans that don't bash Yamcha but as always there's nutcases in every group. I think the abusive Yamcha thing comes from the fact that some people who love a given character will often minimize or totally ignore his/her flaws, while if they hate a given character they maximize his/her flaws (and in Yamcha's case just make some flaws up) and totally ignore the character's good points.

Oh yeah, I actually kind of like ChiChi/Vegeta too. That's what happens when you go on the Dragon Ball LJ kink meme. It would be a dysfunctional relationship, but then again, I've never viewed any of the relationships in the show as 100% functional. And yes, if that happened, ChiChi would have his balls in a vice like you said.
