Wow, I wasn't expecting the second muffin to say something like that. It was funny reading it out loud; my mom and I burst out laughing!

Ahahaha. This is exactly my kind of joke. Yes XD
My only comment is that usually muffins and cupcakes are baked in a pan, with or without baking paper around them--However, I can definitely see where drawing a pan would mess up the composition and possibly even the joke here (Most pans are half-dozen pans, and the joke stated that there are only two muffins...), so... That's really not important
Anyway, good job. You made me laugh again.

I originally took an image of a 3x4 cup pan for a base, but I decided that it changed the joke, unbalanced the composition, and stopped me from drawing those delightful little condoms that muffins wear (so basically everything you said). I would feel bad for backing down from a compositional challenge, except that the two muffins baking thing is built into the joke.

i love how the other muffin's so blunt about it...unfortunately, i don't know how to offer you constructive criticism; i like these comics too much to see any flaws ^^.

Yeah. Drawing this definitely made me hungry. And now I'm hungry again... I'm gonna go find a muffin.

Heh, I think I get the idea behind it. Really, there isn't much I can say to you to help you do better. These are as good as they can get. Better art, and it'll be too good, better concepts? No. The concepts and "jokes" you have are perfectly suited to what you're doing. What else can you improve? Nothing really. The only thing I can say is, make more. The only potential flaw I see is you running out of inspiration for these.
If you wanted to push these further into other purposes, cleaning them up could be helpful, but it would damage the mood set by these, so I don't suggest it.

Thanks. I wonder about running out of inspiration too sometimes. I don't want to rely on the same joke structures and the same moods all the time. That's why I try to do something different every now and then (like the Clam). Every comment helps me think about what to write next. Thanks for your regular input; it's the kind of thing that makes me post.

There's a rather popular joke that goes as such:
So there's these two muffins baking in an oven, and one muffin says, "Gee! It's hot in here!" and so the other muffin says "Ahh! It's a talking muffin!"
I like the original joke. It's much classier than my derivative humour. I guess I kind of wish that it was the kind of thing I might come up with. Instead, I've taken a set up which anticipates a light-hearted punchline, and I've finished it with something rather dark.
That was the goal anyway. I've heard it said that a joke that needs to be explained isn't a very good joke. I really do appreciate your honesty. Every response helps me understand how people who aren't me take the joke. Thanks!

No, not at all. I am not jewish, and this is not offensive.
As a matter of fact, I take offense to anyone offended by something this simple.

I've never though it was nor intended it to be. To be honest, that particular reading never occurred to me (I guess I should probably be a wee bit more sensitive about this stuff). You've certainly made me think about it differently. Thanks, I really do appreciate the insight.
