Being both a detective and a spy, Lance Cabbot is incredibly perceptive, and knows how to blend in or stand out. His stealth is only amplified, being a housecat tabaxi; a smaller variant of tabaxi born out of necessity in the tight, sprawling corridors of lower Phandalin.
