Description
A concept drawing of a short range OTS (orbit to surface) shuttle or light freighter. Its removable freight pod allows a high level of versatility as this can be replaced with a wide variety of mission specific units, including high capacity or VIP passenger capsules, prisoner transport capsules, vehicle transport pods, standard or liquid freight containers, or even more exotic payloads like fire-fighting or survey packs. Bow and aft ramps permit fast loading and unloading of passengers and cargo, with the front ramp giving access to the small passenger area ahead of the removable payload and the rear ramp giving access to a cargo area occupying the rear third of the ship.

The Adon-class is unarmed in its standard configuration, although provision has been made for defensive weapons like automated CIWS turrets.

Standard crew is three: pilot, navigator and loadmaster. It can also be remotely piloted.
