Water is thick enough not to burst at that size, these are extreme close ups. And the spider is small, so is the droplet. If you have a dry finger and carefully put a droplet on it you'll see.

Very cool that you're achieving this with a macro filter. You should invest in the 85mm F/3.5G lens and see all the detail you'll be able to pull out of that spider.
