The question answers itself. Women pass through the detailing/threshold/contrasting process uniquely because of their makeup, overall complexion, and generally more frivolous clothes.
This is not taking into considering tanning, which both sexes are equally suspectable to.

It's a spark!
For some reason, it reminds me of the touch between god and man in Michaelangelo's painting of The Sistine Chapel. Where Michaelangelo didn't use a light source to indicate the spark of human life (different style, of course), the message is nevertheless the same. A connection is made. <3
