On July 9th, 1973, Toby was having another episode with Fireface, that face within his cab. Toby was fighting for control, but couldn't handle it anymore. He told Thomas to take care of Henrietta for him, and ran forwards towards the breakdown train, where the arm was facing him. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. Sodor's No. 7, the very engine that took Topham out on his holiday all those years ago, was now gone.....
