A semi-educated guess at what the world looked like in the Late Cretaceous, this time the climate. Based on maps from deeptimemaps.com and Christopher Scotese.

As far as I know the climate was turbulent during this period, temperature swung up and down a lot, and of course the Deccan Traps were very active. This is therefore a rough average of sorts, maybe you could take it to be the climate immediately before the meteor hit. Clima-sim gives an average temperature of 21 celsius, from a range over the past million years of 25 to 18.

Hot and humid, as to be expected. Should be an interesting world for the civilisation of the Kihan to develop in.

I do have an earlier version with much less detailed topography and therefore less detailed climate, and I'd say this is very much an improvement. I probably won't post that first iteration here.

I may create some other maps though, probably representing the highs and lows of the temperature swings before the impact. I'm lazy, so if I do make those maps I'll probably only change temperatures and not precipitation. Or I may skip them entirely and move on to developing the Kihan themselves.
